Hunger Games Trilogy 3 Book Series. The Hunger Games trilogy : The Hunger Games , Catching Fire and Mockingja y by Suzanne Collins was inspired by a blend of the Greek myth of Theseus and the Minotaur , a program on TV where people were competing, and another where kids were fighting a war while the author was channel surfing. Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins - review

Because as uncomfortable as that world is, dystopia seems always on the horizon when we look at current events in both politics and the environment. The consensus was that they present a similarly violent future, but that GAMES was far more violent in its execution. Yes, the main character kills off several people. But the games are meant to be a violent reality show where children kill other children. A kid can read any book they want to attempt in my house, only if I think it may be age-inappropriate, I will read it along with them and make sure that some elements are discussed. But violence and what may be deemed inappropriate aside, what I most enjoyed about the series was the incredible writing.

I will start the review by saying that Suzanne was not able to continue the momentum from the first novel. I am sure that everyone was waiting for the scene at the train station on the return of the victors but guess what, Suzanne just skips the whole coming back scene and tells us about it in the past tense, which is kind of annoying. In the start, the novel is quite boring and I was disappointed by the lack of any progress in the story. The fast paced action, due to which 'The Hunger Games' received acclaim, is not seen anywhere except until the very end. Once again, Suzanne fails to provide any good descriptions of places. Katniss gets in her room, Katniss gets on the train, Katniss reaches the President's house etc.
