Ideas for a Graduation Memory Book
A diploma is more than just a sheet of paper for a student. Graduations mark the end of an era, which is why a proper celebration is warranted and should not be overlooked. Grad parties can come in many different forms, but they are generally dependent on education level and age of the graduate. In any case, having a guest book for the event demonstrates the support they have from their inner circle and community before they transition into the next phase of their life. For any nautical themed graduation parties on the horizon, consider using a buoy as a guest book. Buoys are meant to keep objects afloat and with the notes the guests are able to leave next to their signatures, this will be a fun reminder of love as they leave safe harbors and journey into the next phase of their life.
I also love that a guest book can often double as an activity at the event. I like to think outside the typical guest book box and start with one simple question:. Does she love playing scrabble or going to the lake? Have guests sign an oar, anchor, or buoys! If you have a game lover on your hands, have guests sign the back of a game board or a Jenga set. My goal when coming up with new guest book ideas is to create a useful memory. I divided this post up into 3 sections, but you can adapt any of these guest book ideas for your specific event.
But you know as they say…young at heart. Anyway back to the point of this post…I wanted to give him something meaningful for his graduation. So…as part of his gift I made him two memory books. The first was a graduation book where I collected letters from friends, family, and mentors to include in a book. We have actual hard copy pictures in photo albums of his first few years. Nothing fancy…just an album with pages to slip in pictures.
Baby Shower Guest Book Ideas
Graduation, whether from high school, college or even one of the lower grades, is a major occasion that is likely to spur plenty of memories in proud parents and other relatives. Creating a memory book as a gift for the grad is a thoughtful way to capture those precious memories and remind the grad of how far she has come. Create a one- or two-page spread for each year, including school photos, team photos and snapshots from the school year along with copies of report cards, progress reports and written memories of the school year. Take note of any major achievements for each year, the friends that the grad was closest with during that time and anything else that made each year of school special. Senior year is packed full of once-in-a-lifetime activities that a grad will probably want to remember forever.
