Tommy Robinson's book dropped from Amazon | talkRADIOWhat group is most famous for burning books? And what group is doing it now? Right again. It is more likely in this present case that the British government and the BBC which Tommy Robinson has just spectacularly embarrassed are behind this than Hamas-linked CAIR, but nonetheless, we have now arrived at the point where Amazon, which, with Barnes and Noble, which is also not carrying this book, has a virtual monopoly on book sales, is indeed dropping books that are critical of jihad terror and Sharia oppression. But it will be. They have banned the Koran from Amazon.

Controversial British figure Tommy Robinson has become a prominent voice within certain communities and circles. Regarded as an activist and spokesperson for the far-right, his politics have had a polarizing effect throughout British society. This has led to him becoming a regular fixture within the news, working with a variety of political organisations as well. Over time he has also gone on to write a book chronicling his life up to this point, which has led to him reaching a wider audience. Leaving school, he stated how he would go on to Luton Airport where he would study aircraft engineering on an apprenticeship. Qualifying in he would then lose his job, followed by a month prison sentence for assault on an off-duty police officer.

It comes as the far-right activist and ex-English Defence League leader was banned from Facebook and Instagram on Tuesday. A link to the banned book is still live, with reviews still visible, but there is no link to purchase it. A statement from Facebook on Tuesday said the social media firm strived to facilitate an environment for free speech, but that it was committed to taking action against any ideas and opinions which foster intimidation or exclusion in society. He has also behaved in ways that violate our policies around organised hate. This is not a decision we take lightly, but individuals and organisations that attack others on the basis of who they are have no place on Facebook or Instagram.
