The Book of Enoch and The Secrets of Enoch

I was recently browsing youtube, and found a video about a banned book called Book of Enoch. What is it? As far as I know, no important group has banned the book of Enoch. Just so you know, some call this book the 1st 1 Enoch because other pseudepigraphal books books with a falsely-claimed authorship supposedly by Enoch were produced by Jews before the time of Jesus. We can safely assume that all books supposedly written by Enoch were in fact not written by him! You can easily get a copy of a translation by going on-line. The content of the Book of Enoch includes a lot about angels and their interaction with people.

Nephilim, Watchers, Dead sea scrolls and the Book of Enoch

First Book of Enoch

In Genesis we are told that Enoch walked with God. In my research I have found the book of Enoch. I have read it over and over and found it to be very moving and very inspiring. It was the very key to bring me back to our Lord and Savior. It is a blue print of all things past, present, and future from Genesis to the Son of Man Jesus Christ our Messiah, to the secret day of judgment.

Did He Solve the Mystery of the Ages? Hebrews By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, "and was not found, because God had taken him"; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God. Jude [14] Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, "Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints, [15] to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him. Hebrews 11 has the answers and Jude quotes Enoch! How did Jude come to know the words of Enoch? They are not in the Bible.

Enoch, the seventh patriarch in the book of Genesis , was the subject of abundant apocryphal literature, especially during the Hellenistic period of Judaism 3rd century bc to 3rd century ad. At first revered only for his piety, he was later believed to be the recipient of secret knowledge from God. This portrait of Enoch as visionary was influenced by the Babylonian tradition of the 7th antediluvian king, Enmenduranna, who was linked to the sun god and received divine revelations. The story of Enoch reflects many such features of the Babylonian myth. I Enoch is a compilation of several separate works, most of which are apocalyptic.

This book was also quoted by some 1st and 2nd century authors as in the Testaments of the Twelve Patriarchs. - By using our site, you acknowledge that you have read and understand our Cookie Policy , Privacy Policy , and our Terms of Service.
