Amazon Reviewers Are Loving 'Fire and Fury,' Michael Wolff's Gossipy White House BookPresident Donald Trump and the staff of his presidential campaign and White House. The title refers to a quote by Trump about the conflict with North Korea. The book became a New York Times number one bestseller. Reviewers generally accepted Wolff's portrait of a dysfunctional Trump administration, but were skeptical of many of Wolff's particular claims. The book highlights descriptions of Trump's behavior, chaotic interactions among senior White House staff, and derogatory comments about the Trump family by former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon. According to Michael Wolff , when he approached Donald Trump about writing a book on his presidency , Trump agreed to give him access to the White House because he liked an article Wolff wrote about him in June for The Hollywood Reporter. Starting in mid, Wolff interviewed campaign and transition staff.

Updated January 08, The profitability and sales of Michael Wolff's scathing book about United States President Donald Trump appear to have come under attack by WikiLeaks, which has posted a link to a free online copy. Fire and Fury has become an instant best-seller since it went on sale on Friday, with hard copies sold out in many stores within an hour. Mr Trump has begun legal action against the author, seeking to discredit the book's allegations against him as fake and disputing Mr Wolff's claim that he personally interviewed the President before writing the book. Now, in an unprecedented move, Wikileaks has posted a link on Twitter to a Google Drive document that appears to contain the entire manuscript, although it is unclear whether it is the final version that went to publication. It is unclear whether it was seeking to undermine the book's sales or simply provide an alternative copy of the book, since it sold out.
Fire and Fury gives a fly-on-the-wall account of the Trump administration's early days. With his insider access to the West Wing and over two hundred conversations with senior staff under his belt, Michael Wolff paints a fascinating portrait of an administration he claims is wholly unprepared to govern.
