Andre Simon was famous for his food and wine pairings and he established a number of food and wine societies including the International Food and Wine Society. He was born in France in , but moved to England at age 25 and remained a resident there until his death in For each month Simon included a menu and wine list for three simple luncheons, three party luncheons, three simple dinners and three party dinners. His thoughts on how wine and food should go together were quite revolutionary for the time. While this book is now out of print, you can find recipes on the website listed in the next paragraph. One book connoisseur remarked that Mr. Simon really knew how to entertain!
