8 Epic Fantasy Series You Need to Read After Finishing Throne of Glass

O kay… deep breath and pray no-one kills me for this… I have a confession. I have never ever read a Sarah J Maas book! That might not sound so bad, but the thing is, I have actually met her she is super nice and lovely and have all of her books! When I heard Maas was bringing out a modern fantasy retelling of Beauty and the Beast — my favourite Disney story of all time — I knew that the time was now and I had to read this book! I was super grateful when I was accidentally sold it in a book shop a month before its release, and I also received one from the Guardian to read and review! A Court of Thorns and Roses is just as beautiful a book as the title suggests.

Feyre's survival rests upon her ability to hunt and kill - the forest where she lives is a cold, bleak place in the long winter months. So when she spots a deer in the forest being pursued by a wolf, she cannot resist fighting it for the flesh. But to do so, she must kill the predator and killing something so precious comes at a price Dragged to a magical kingdom for the murder of a faerie, Feyre discovers that her captor, his face obscured by a jewelled mask, is hiding far more than his piercing green eyes would suggest. Feyre's presence at the court is closely guarded, and as she begins to learn why, her feelings for him turn from hostility to passion and the faerie lands become an even more dangerous place. Feyre must fight to break an ancient curse, or she will lose him forever.

By Peter White. Sarah J. No cast or director has been attached. The Beauty and the Beast -esque fantasy drama tells the story of Feyre, who finds herself entwined with faeries after unknowingly killing one. When the year-old huntress kills a wolf in the woods, a beast-like creature arrives to demand retribution for it. Maas Published By Bloomsbury. The book begins with Feyre, a young and determined human girl with a struggling family in a world where the Fae are seen as gods, and killing one, even accidentally, is a crime that no mortal would ever dare commit. When Feyre kills a Fae who appears to be a wolf in the woods she and her family must face punishment.
