So much so that as I browsed the shelves of the 35 vendors down from last year , it occurred to me that I was being followed. They needed gas money to get home. I initially interpreted the affair as yet another depressing sign that in the age of online bookselling, traditional dealers were as doomed as dinosaurs. Then I began talking to the dinosaurs. Of course, anyone who loves rare books can tick off a lamentable number of independent bookstores that have closed shop in the past 15 years.

Articles - February - Issue. The show attracted over 60 exhibitors, an increase from 50 in the previous year. The show provided a reception to all the exhibitors Saturday evening, after closing of the show, and had an exhibitor's room where complementary food and refreshments were provided during the show hours. The exhibitors were active in trading during set up and the fair was solid for most of the sellers and even excellent for a few. Heritage had an appraisal venue on Sunday from pm to pm and had over attendees. This also created some strong activity for the exhibitors as well.
